Summary of Purpose:
Performs clerical duties in order to accomplish the functions of the Financial Aid Department to which the incumbent is assigned. The employee is expected to work as a team player in a multi-cultural diverse working environment.
Typical Duties:
This description is intended to indicate the types of duties and responsibilities requested of the employee assigned this title. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the duties and responsibilities that may be required:
Prepares, proofreads, and distributes correspondence, forms, notes, reports, labels, tests, syllabi, course handouts, etc. using applicable software.
Sorts and files materials using various methods (e.g., alphabetically, numerically, by subject matter, by other systems or codes, etc.)
Answers phones, takes messages, and schedules appointments.
Assists students and/or employees, as needed, in completing forms, giving directions, explaining college procedures, posting notices, etc.
Compiles information from various sources.
Utilizes college wide computer systems to enter data and process reports.
Orders supplies and equipment with appropriate approvals.
Operates office equipment (e.g., photocopier, telephone, computer and any other equipment utilized by the College); cleans, maintains, and arranges for service of equipment, as necessary.
Trains and directs college student personnel, with appropriate approval.
Performs related tasks, as assigned.
Ability to work additional hours, as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirement:
EDUCATION: High school graduation or equivalent.
