Northrop Grumman’s Enterprise Services organization is seeking a skilled ServiceNow CMDB/Configuration Manager to support the strategy and consulting capabilities of our Next Gen Technology group. As part of this team, you will become one of our internal experts on ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM, working to help define a vision for maturing the Northrop Grumman CMDB technology state. You will be responsible for recommending best practices, developing CMDB lifecycle policies and practices, along with the execution review and improvement of the Configuration Management process. You will need to be a self-starter, working in an agile environment focusing on innovative service delivery. Your excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills will be utilized as you work with passionate, motivated individuals across our Enterprise Services organization to define data element strategies for each service line
This position can be performed remotely
Responsibilities:
Ensure daily end-to-end delivery of Configuration Management services in accordance with the configuration management plan.
Develop and maintain configuration management data element strategies and roadmaps.
Create, publish and manage configuration item life cycle policies.
Maintain accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), assist in improving quality of data.
Working with process owners, define best practices and procedures for identification of, capturing and maintaining business value data elements.
Continuous automated improvements of non-discoverable data attributes.
Participate in the planning, designing and implementing of the Service Model in CMDB to ensure visibility across the infrastructure environment
Participate in all management of CMDB data quality assurance activities, to include leading CMDB librarians, on the ServiceNow platform.
Facilitate Configuration Item review and audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of configuration items maintained within the CMDB (both discoverable and undiscoverable)
Capture CI data model and associated relationships.
Communicate and train technical and service line audiences about Configuration Management services, concepts, policies and procedures.
Contribute on Agile/SAFe engagements, utilizing Agile/SAFe methodology appropriate to ServiceNow deployment and tools to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Assist in estimating time and effort for technical resources and proactively communicate progress and forecast changes to Northrop Grumman ServiceNow ART.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 9 years of relevant experience; Master’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience; PhD and 4years of experience.
At least 5 years of experience understanding the architecture and foundational aspects on the ServiceNow platform.
At least one relevant training around CMDB, CSDM and/or Service Mapping concepts.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
A passion for advising and guiding business customers and other IT leaders on how to get the most out of ServiceNow and for learning the latest product features
Demonstrated experience in managing Configuration Management process lifecycle using ServiceNow
Additional and more advanced ServiceNow product certifications.
IT Hardware and Software Asset Management.
Strong familiarity with relational database concepts.
Understanding of Agile or SAFe methodologies and frameworks.
ITIL Practitioner or ITIL Service Manager level qualification and/or associated certifications
Active US Government security clearance

Salary Range: $103,900 USD – $155,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
