Position : Admissions Ticket Seller

Job Description : You must* already be a member of, or willing to join, the SEIU union to apply for this position.*The Admissions Ticket Seller sells admissions tickets to Fair guests using a computer point-of-sale system. This is a seasonal/temporary position.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Sell admission tickets using the POS system
Provides excellent customer service to Fair guests by answering questions and providing information
Provides accurate change
Processes credit card purchase transactions
Responsible for securing cash drawer
Other duties as assigned

Required Skills*Excellent verbal communication skills

Must have cash handling and reconciliation of cash experience
Must have organizational skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be familiar with different types of tickets and be able to operate a ticking system
Must have basic mathematical skills
Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure
Must be flexible, proactive, detail oriented, and motivated
Must have strong customer service skills
Must be able to deal professionally and effectively with all types of people

Physical Requirements of Job

Must have reliable private transportation
Must be able to work overtime, when asked
Will be required to wear a company-provided uniform
Must wear a company-issued badge and use said badge in conjunction with our electronic timekeeping system
Must be able to move around the grounds and lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
Must be able to operate a computer, type, and operate a calculator
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, which may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to work every day of the L.A. County Fair
Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
