Position : After School Reading Tutor

Job Description : The Joy of Learning is hiring after school reading tutors to teach in person in the East SF Bay Area during after school hours. Pay is $40-65 per hour depending on training and experience.

The ideal candidate:

Has training and experience teaching structured literacy and/or Orton Gillingham, or has teaching experience and is willing to be trained.
Is great at building connections and positive rapport with kids and families.
Is punctual, reliable, and able to commit to at least 4 hours per week, up to 10-15 hours per week, for a year or more.
Has reliable transportation and availability to meet with students in person during after school hours in the East SF Bay area.
