Job Description : A reputable hospital located in beautiful, warm and coastal California is actively seeking for an experienced Assistant Director of Environmental and Housekeeping Services to join this well respected non profit Medical Center.
The Assistant Director of Housekeeping and Environmental Services will serve as a valuable resource for the hospital regarding all housekeeping, patient transportation, valet, laundry services, maintenance and safety projects hospital-wide. This key member of the Environmental and Facilities Services will direct programs related to equipment and facility upgrades to ensure efficient patient care across the organization.
The Assistant Director of Environmental and Housekeeping Services will supervise environmental services personnel performing cleaning and custodial tasks. The Housekeeping and Environmental Assistant Director will assist with performance evaluations, staffing needs, development and implementation of training, orientation and on-the-job training, instructing employees in proper cleaning techniques and safety practices, monitoring the use and care of assigned equipment and supplies and lastly, inventory maintenance.
Reporting directly to Chief Operating Officer, the Assistant Director of Housekeeping and Environmental Services will work independently and in teams with good problem solving and organizational skills. The Assistant Director of Environmental and Housekeeping Services will inspect assigned areas to ensure that departmental cleanliness standards are met.
