Position : Behavior Technician
Job Description : Game Changer Pediatric Therapy Services is seeking quality behavior technicians to provide evidence-based ABA strategies to clients in areas of positive behavioral support, communication, skill acquisition, life skills, and implementation of program goals and behavior intervention plans. Game Changer takes a multidisciplinary approach to therapy by offering ABA in conjunction with OT, ST, and PT, if desired by our families. Game Changer offers a collaborative therapy experience for our client’s with developmental and intellectual disabilities to help them achieve independence. Behavior technicians are responsible for direct implementation of individualized programming with clients.Game Changer offers a comprehensive staff training to prepare staff members with the knowledge to meet the behavioral needs of our clients.The Behavior Technician will:- Implement all behavioral programming with each assigned client under the supervision of assigned BCBC/BCaBA/QBHP- Ensure that clients are actively engaged in DTT, NET, or ADL programming throughout the session- Communicate effectively with students to build rapport and increase social interactions (independent play, peer play, etc.)- Implement de-escalation strategies and intervene according to de-escalation protocol.- Monitor client progress on program goal progression, problem behavior, etc.- Take direction from and communicate effectively with direct supervisor, BCBA, OT, SLP, and PT, if applicable- Regular communication with the parents, supervisor(s), and others.- Provide services in a variety of locations such as the Game Changer center, Children’s Museum, in-home, etc.- Attend meeting(s) as required by supervisor- Maintains HIPAA compliance of client information- Able to implement Acts of Daily Living skills such as toileting, brushing teeth, etc.- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionallyQualifications:- Must possess a high school diploma or GED- Must be at least 18 years old- Demonstrate sufficient communication and writing skills to complete required documentation- Must successfully pass all required background checks and not be convicted of any crime that violates requirements of employment- Ability to work as part of a team- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.”Benefit Conditions:Waiting period may applyCOVID-19 Precaution(s):Personal protective equipment provided or requiredTemperature screeningsSocial distancing guidelines in placeSanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in placeHours per week:20-2930-39Work RemotelyNoJob Type: Part-timePay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hourSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver’s License (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
