The Retail IS&T Finance organization is chartered to provide sound financial governance and oversight across our Engineering teams to ensure Apple Retail executes the right-sized projects (dollars and people resources) to keep Apple Retail on the cutting edge of customer service. In this role, you will not only own the financial nuts and bolts but also lead the way in deeper analysis of Retail Engineering’s operating expenses. You will partner with key engineering stakeholders across the organization, as well as those throughout IS&T and Finance.
Key Qualifications
3 – 5+ years of relevant experience in a dedicated organization.
Demonstrated success in managing multiple activities/projects, priorities, and people in a dynamic environment.
Should be able to act independently and be self-motivated.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including executive level presentations.
Team player with the ability to partner across different organizations and at all levels.
Ability to craft a narrative/story using qualitative and quantitative data.
Desire to learn, improve, and innovate.
Knowledge in Procure-to-Pay processes.
Description
As the analyst for Retail Engineering’s operating expenses, you will be the key financial leader in collaborating with stakeholders to understand and analyze spend while keeping an eye out on the best ways to utilize and manage this spend. Success in this role includes building trust and partnerships, having a hunger to continuously learn, and being motivated to improve and innovate. Primary responsibilities include: Leading and driving the analysis of Operating Expenses, formation of Forecasts, and execution of the Annual Budgeting Process. Serving as the point of contact for Software Asset Management, including leading funding requests, management of licenses, and team collaboration in reviews. Collaborating with Engineering teams to analyze resource activities and ensure proper allocation. Being the finance strategic partner for key Retail & Engineering Solutions initiatives, such as Cloud Strategy. Owning and partnering with cross-functional partners on the Telecom Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process for Apple Retail Stores. – Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills. Experience with enterprise software systems and/or Apple internal applications (e.g. eApproval, SAP, Tableau) a plus.
Education & Experience
B.A./B.S. Degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field.
