Position : Child Support Specialist
Job Description : The Department is seeking to fill multiple bilingual and non-bilingual Child Support Specialist positions located in Riverside. The incumbent will review, evaluate, recommend disposition of, and initiate legal action on complaints of failure to provide child or medical support. They will perform in office investigative work related to the establishment and enforcement of paternity, child support, and medical support orders. The incumbents will perform other related duties as required.
The Department highly desires candidates with excellent customer service, who have experience with interviewing and eliciting information from individuals for investigative purposes; who have experience with large case management; who have experience generating legal documents to be filed in court, communicating with individuals from internal and external agencies; and individuals who possess a valid California Driver’s License.
Knowledge of the CSE system and child support law is desirable.
Minimum of two years as a Child Support Interviewer, legal clerk, or paralegal experience preferred.
