Job Description : Summary
Aptitude Clinical Laboratories operates a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory providing high-sensitivity COVID-19 molecular tests. Our CLIA lab was built to handle thousands of COVID-19 tests per day. We strive to provide professional service and rapid results at an affordable cost to enterprises, communities, and individuals. We are serving many of Santa Barbara County’s largest employers, universities, and 80+ K-12 schools.
We are seeking 2-3 part-time Clinical Lab Assistants to join our fast-growing team.

Your position
Type: Part-time, 20-30 hours per week;
Available shifts: Weekday 2:00pm – 8:00pm; Weekend 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm;
Pay rate: $25/hour;
Job location: Goleta, California;
Previous wet lab experience strongly preferred;
Your responsibilities
Execute experiments efficiently, with high accuracy and precision;
Understand project objectives, and effectively prioritize tasks;
Follow safety procedures, perform clinical sample processing;
Understand underlying scientific principles behind the experimental protocols;
Prepare oral or written technical reports;
Transitioning to a full-time role with broader responsibilities is possible for candidates with the right skills and motivation. You will also accrue valuable clinical lab work experience needed for a career in clinical diagnostics.
Your qualifications
Punctuality, reliability, and meticulous attitude toward work are required;
Ability to efficiently learn and follow standard lab protocols required;
Availability of at least 25 hours a week required;
Previous wet lab experience strongly preferred;
A degree in a relevant field (biology, biochemistry, etc.) is strongly preferred;
