Job Description : The Complete Logistics Company is an asset based, third party logistics company, woman and minority owned business, that specializes in all phases of transportation and supply chain management services. We have an immediate opening for a dependable and experienced Collections Clerk.
SUMMARY:
Individual will be responsible for managing the activities of collection, with an emphasis on efficiency and promptness. This includes monitoring accounts, resolving past due balances and promoting timely payment process. Additional duties include, but not limited to Accounts Receivable filing and maintenance. Work is performed under the direction of the Finance Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, including but not limited to:

Review status of delinquent accounts and initiate collection actions contacting each assigned account weekly.
Handle all aspects of delinquent customer accounts.
Coordinate with the Finance Manger on propelling delinquent notifications and fielding all related inquiries.
Work closely with sales and office managers to target large account delinquencies.
Provide recommendations to correct any presentation, data table or customer requirement discrepancies that may influence the integrity of billing data sent to collections.
Execute a productive collection strategy, with the end objective of increasing recoveries for all accounts in default.
Record and maintain history case files for each assigned account and document status of collection efforts on the weekly published aging report.
Responsible for workflow, involving prioritizing, ensuring timelines, maintaining a high level of quality, providing recommendations and escalating issues.
Participate in weekly one-on-one/departmental meetings with Finance Manager and CFO to review accounts.
Complete special projects within assigned deadlines as appointed by management.
Review and submit account statements on a monthly basis.
Ensure that Accounting Policies and Procedures are adhered to.
Research disputed account balances and present corrections of any errors, including misapplied payments, reversed late charges, direct deposit errors, over-payments and short-payments.
Work closely with sales and office managers on investigating and resolving customer deductions.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Possess superior organizational and communication skills.
Knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word.
Possess troubleshooting abilities and be able to resolve discrepancies and disputes.
Demonstrate cognitive abilities: a) Work independently with appropriate judgment b) Concentrate, memorize and recollect c) Process up to 2-3 steps ahead
Work effectively with a wide range of personnel.

WORK SCHEDULE

Part-time: Three 8-10 hours shifts, five 4-5 hour shifts (Mon-Fri)

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 – $22.00 per hour
Schedule:

Day shift
Monday to Friday
