A16 is an inedpendent, growing company and excited for the right person to join our team.The Director of Operations plans, directs, and coordinates the operations of the restaurant group. The Director of Operations manages daily operations at all locations: personnel, facilities, logistics, financial, and hospitality.
The Director of Operations holds a broad set of responsibilities that includes directing the sustained success, growth, and overall asset management of the restaurant group as measured by the budgeted goals and Executive Committee’s objectives. The Director of Operations holds a fundamental understanding of the owners’ vision and plans for the restaurant group and the ability to communicate and manage that vision effectively working collaboratively with the Management Team, Accounting Team, HR Team, and the Executive Committee.
Essential Functions: FINANCIAL:
In collaboration with the direction the Executive Committee and Finance Department, support General Managers and Executive Chefs to meet targeted financial goals including but not limited to: budgeted cost of goods, labor budgets, sales and revenue targets, prescribed inventory levels, purchasing budgets and controls for all operations.
This will require fluency in the in following platforms; Toast, Square, QuickBooks, To Go Platforms (Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc.) and review/analysis of restaurant GM’s daily and weekly labor costs, audit to budget and schedule.
Ensure accuracy in all reporting and labor inputs, and system synchronicity across various reporting platforms.
Review weekly General Ledger reporting and audit to operational budgets.
Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Oversee standard operating procedures to meet the month end closing schedules to enable the production of monthly P & L statements and trending reports in collaboration with Finance Department.
Develop annual budgets in collaboration with restaurant GMs’/Executive Chefs for the upcoming fiscal year for Executive Committee approval.
Forecast and budget the financial growth and implementation of A16 culinary programs in collaboration with A16 Executive Chef.
Forecast and budget the financial growth and implementation of A16 beverage programs in collaboration with Wine Director and GMs.
Forecast and budget the financial growth and development of A16 private dining and A16 Events programing in collaboration with GMs’ and Executive Chef by revenue centers.
Ensure that private events are execute effectively and within budget guidelines.
Forecast and budget the financial growth and development of each restaurant operation in collaboration with Executive Chef and GMs’.
COMPLIANCE:
Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations, state, and local labor laws. Ensure all license and permits are up to date, and properly posted.
HUMAN RESOURCES:
Be a champion of A16 culture.
Ensure that annual performance management of A16 employees are conducted timely and consistently.
Develop emergency and safety manuals.
Conduct periodic training of all emergency and safety procedures. In collaboration with GM and Executive Chef, monitor safety practices at work are enforced.
Direct and manage workers compensation safety program.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
