Position : Distribution Center Site Manager
Job Description : Under appropriate supervision with latitude for independent judgment, the Site Manager reports to the Vice President of Operations and is responsible for the following. This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed in this position; they are only the major duties.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure operations meet the need of the customer
Oversee all daily operations of the site
Encourage and develop a safe work environment
Ensure the facility equipment and the facility itself are in good working order
Daily client interfacing required
Approve all invoices for payment and issue Purchase Orders for all major purchases
Approve payroll
Develop and refine budget with assistance of the VP of Operations/Finance Manager
Ensure the facility operates within budget – if not be able to walk cause
Develop more cost effective methods for operations
Ensure all permits required by municipality are in place
Backup the Sr. Operations Manager
Assign personnel to job responsibilities
Assist and direct process re-design where required
Develop more cost effective methods for operations
Ensure Safe, High Quality, Productive Services are provided to our client
Understand, implement and support completion of the daily plan
Provide necessary PPE, equipment and tools to complete work
Conduct employee performance reviews and follow up on progress
Monitor and maintain operations KOIs
Recognize improvement
Support the Quality Department in the event of any defect in the operation
Implement RCCA’s that will prevent reoccurrence of system defects
Monitor the inventory activities and shrinkage, including execution of BLR process to client specification
Support any programs needed at the operation (CTPAT, MDP, etc.)
Ensure the operation conducts quarterly family activity events
Maintain communications at all levels
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Five years of supervisory experience
Strong interpersonal skills in regards to interface with employees and client
A strong commitment to safety, care and concerns of our employees
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
Forklift certified or able to obtain certification
Must be able to lift 55 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $80,080.00 per year
