We are currently seeking a new
Education Program Assistant to join our client for a
part-time / remote position.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate applications by students and faculty members applying for academic discounts.
Program Assistants manually review the large volume of applications where student ID or other documentation of academic affiliation is uploaded, and research school email domains to help improve our automated verification system.
Program Assistants also process requests for GitHub collateral and swag by verified teachers and students, as well as responding to email sent to GitHub Education using our playbook and a clearly defined set of canned-replies, personalizing them as required.
Requirements:
The position is non-technical, but requires the ability to perform Google image searches, utilize Google Translate, research domains, write in the Client’s voice, and interact with other contractors and staff in Slack and Zoom.
The position requires 20 hours a week availability in peak application periods, such as the start of each semester. Depending upon need, hours may be more flexible outside those periods.
Experience with the educational system in India a plus.
Full COVID-19 vaccination may be required.
