Here are the details:QUALIFICATIONSPrevious EMS/Police/Fire or other call center experience is preferred.Experienced in using CAD, ZOLL, NETVIEWER system software is preferred.EMD certification preferred. If not currently certified, you will be required to obtain certification within first year or employment. Cost reimbursement upon successful completion of course.High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.Must possess strong communication skills, both verbally and written.Must possess strong typing skills.Must have the ability to work and multi-task in a stressful environment.Must exhibit strong leadership skills and be willing to lead the team during emergent situations.Must be willing to act in the capacity of a call taker trainer as required.Must exhibit strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.RESPONSIBILITIESAnswers all emergent and non-emergent phone calls in strict adherence to Medstar Communication Center policies and procedures.Establishes a clear understanding of and upholds a strict adherence to all Medstar Communication Center policies and procedures.Properly enters required data from all calls into the computer according to Medstar guidelines.Communicates professionally, empathetically and efficiently during all calls.Facilitates proper communication chains throughout the Medstar organization.Maintains a professional attitude and appearance in accordance with Medstar policiesExceeds expectations while providing the highest level of customer service to our patients, contracted facilities and partner hospitals.Responsible for working as a constructive team member within the Center, as well as being able to work independently when required.Job Type: Full-time
