Job Description : Position 1: Employee Benefits Department AssistantClassification: Full-Time, Regular/ Hours: 9-5, M-F
Location: Capitola/LA/Remote

We are a statewide insurance brokerage focusing on the diverse coverage needs of California’s nonprofit community. We are looking for an Employee Benefits Department Assistant who is comfortable with a team environment, loves solving problems, and can thrive in a fast-paced culture.
Duties include but are not limited to: Forms processing, employee quotes for coverage, working with clients or carriers on eligibility issues, claims inquiries, filing and record keeping, renewal and compliance email compilation, etc.

Detail-oriented. You’re comfortable with handling large volumes of paperwork, assisting with proposals, and performing data entry.

Career Orientated. You want opportunities for future advancement and understand that it takes performance, attitude and initiative to get there.
*Experience:*At least 2 years office, healthcare or insurance related experienceProficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook, and possess a general aptitude for computers;A desire to provide superior customer service skills are a must;Possession of a CA Life/Health/Accident Insurance license or variation of is preferredAn interest in supporting California’s nonprofit community is essential!
Bonus Points: Experience with insurance administration, medical office administration, or HR administration.
