Position : Fieldwork Research Associate and Health Coach (Hybrid Remote)

Job Description : Responsibilities

We are seeking a Fieldwork Research Associate and Health Coach to support the QUIT-Mobile project. Primary duties include:

Implement intervention protocols and activities
Liaise and coordinate patients with care and services
Deliver coaching intervention services via telehealth (phone or video), using an existing manual of procedures for setting goals and implementing behavior change for diverse low-income adult patients of community health centers who screen as risky (moderate) drug users
Travel to assigned clinic sites to identify and engage potential study participants
Recruitment, retention, and implementation of assessments using prepared questions
Participant tracking and follow-up at pre-determined time points

Notes:

Contract position anticipated to last for one year. May convert to career.
Hybrid Remote

Qualifications

At least one year of experience working in health coaching
Passion for improving the health of low-income patient populations and a strong interest in working in clinical setting
Skill in developing rapport with individuals, including primary care patients from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
Excellent organizational skills to assist the team to meet goals within specified time period
Strong communication skills

Not required, but a bonus if you have the following:

Bachelor’s degree
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Familiarity with Los Angeles County
