Job Description : Fine Art Handler & Driver (Regular Full-Time or Part-Time)
PureArt Transport, Inc. is seeking to hire a key team member to work as a Fine Art and Furniture Handler and Driver with strong communication, handling, installation and driving experience. The candidate should be a true team player who is able to engage with clients and colleages, follow direction and guidance from supervisor(s) while maintaining responsibility for the safe, efficient and professional handling and packing of fine art and high-end furniture. The employee must also maintain the safe operation of PureArt Transport trucks and sprinter vans as well as assist or complete required services as outlined by Bill of Ladings and/or supervisor instructions.

Understands all aspects of art handling and installation of artwork in a safe and efficient manner and open to training and on-site instruction
Understands the meaning of being a team player and reporting to corporate management on a daily basis
Packs and handles artwork for delivery
Loads and unloads trucks
Operates a company vehicle to safely deliver artwork and furniture to high-end clients
Reviews all paperwork to ensure complete and accurate pick-ups and deliveries
Communicates with assigned dispatch via cell phone concerning time scheduled deliveries and installations
Performs all required truck inspections
Maintains all required paperwork, i.e.: truck log, work orders, bills of lading of jobs in progress, and return reconciled expense reports and receipts
Provides friendly, thoughtful, quality professional service to clients at all times and develops beneficial working relationships with colleagues
Clean and well-groomed wearing PureArt Transport logo work shirt or T-shirt, fleece jacket and protective work shoes
Performs other incidental and related warehouse and truck duties as required and assigned by supervisor or office team

Qualifications Must be 21 years of age and possess general knowledge of art handling and commercial truck driving experience

Must be willing and capable to work a flexible schedule
Must be available to travel overnight and long distances for occasional special assignments
Ability to resolve routine/problem and ability to identify the root cause(s) for some problems

Education High School Diploma or GED equivalent, college degree or active college study preferredLanguage Skills
Excellent skills in communicating effectively in oral or written form in EnglishCertifications, Licenses, Registrations Valid Driver’s License and 0 pointsPhysical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit, bend, lift, and use hands

Movement will occur throughout the work process
Employee will be in the truck cab for extended periods of time and must exhibit physical agility to enter and exit trucks and/or trailers
Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision and ability to adjust focus
Dexterity of hands, arms and legs is preferred
Employee will be exposed to outside weather conditions on a frequent basis
Employee must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted, and must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 300lbs with assistance of mechanical equipment
