SUMMARY
The Grower is an integral part of the POSIBL team ensuring we meet high-quality cannabis product standards. The incumbent will assist in developing our plans for the expansion build-out and manage daily activities for greenhouse operations. The incumbent must exhibit positive leadership qualities.
DUTIES

Grow and maintain a high-volume producing cannabis crop throughout the year. Monitor growing conditions including humidity, temperature, VPD, CO2, ensuring quality standards. Monitor daily irrigation levels to determine nutrient and watering requirements.
Manage and lead staff in growth, care, and maintenance of the facility’s floriculture. Coordinates individual efficiency production activities. Develop plans for labor maximization and facility improvements.
Establish and execute plant growth strategies for yield maximization while minimizing cost.
Create, modify, and institutionalize the Company’s Standards of Operation (SOP) for cultivation and nursery processes. Oversee improvement methods and procedures related to greenhouse, maintenance and IPM.
Manage and oversee inventory, grow and nutrient coordination of mother plants and clone departments.
Establish a labor plan and communicate requirements to the Human Resources Department. Collaborate on the organizational changes needed throughout the year.
Provide feedback in the existing production facility organizational structure and assist in the design of the new processing facility buildout. Plan and conduct facility improvements as needed.
Participate in preparing the annual budget, 4-month forecasts and weekly production planning.
Assist and coordinate staff scheduling, assignments, oversee training techniques and protocols with the labor lead.
Develop, institute, and manage quality control measures throughout the process. Investigate quality complaints and issues.
Ensures safety protocols are followed and areas are properly sanitized daily by the team.
Structures a preventive and corrective maintenance program and ensuring appropriate execution with both in-house and external suppliers on all greenhouse equipment.
Follow safety and injury prevention programs, participate in weekly management meetings, and provide metrics and reports as requested.
Other projects and duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
This position is physically demanding and requires the applicant to be able to lift fifty pounds on a regular basis, as well as function in physical positions such as stooping, bending, turning, twisting, walking, reaching, squatting, climbing stairs with or without reasonable accommodation.

Must have a minimum of 3 – 5 years cannabis experience in prior agricultural or cannabis products in a greenhouse setting.
At least 3 – 5 years prior supervisor or management experience is required. Must be a positive and respectful mentor, encouraging others to perform at their best.
Must be able to work in a greenhouse environment with varying degrees of temperature, cold, wet and humidity. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required to meet company production needs.
Bilingual at a proficient level in English and Spanish is highly desired.
Must be able to create and follow standards of operations (SOPs). Proficient in all processing floor activities ensuring high quality product.
Prior cannabis industry experience is a plus with Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs) experience preferred.
Proficient in using computers including knowledge of Microsoft and Google Suite of products.
Elevated level of diligence, ability to understand and maintain records with a superior degree of accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; initiative and ability to take direction and multi-task.
Must be highly organized and with excellent time-management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, open to constructive feedback. Shows initiative and ability to take direction and prioritize tasks.
Exhibits respectful leadership qualities, confidence, and ability to train others with a positive behavior and reinforcement.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
