Job descriptionThe Histopathology group at TrueBinding Inc in Foster City, CA is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to perform routine histology as well as immunohistochemical / immunofluorescent staining to support our research programs in the company.
Responsibilities
Perform tissue processing, embedding and sectioning utilizing appropriate equipment and in accordance with established procedures.
Perform immunostaining of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues manually or with autostainer
Proper maintenance/storage/inventory keeping of embedded tissues and slides
General lab duties such as preparation of reagents and stocking of supplies
Perform routine procedures for cleaning ensure histology equipment is maintained properly and in good working order
Follow and enforce laboratory safety guidelines and practices
Keep a well-organized record of the experiments
Qualifications
Associate/ Bachelor/graduate degree in a biological science field with 1-3 years of post-graduation laboratory experience
Experience with tissue processor, microtome, cryostat and autostainers
Experience with IHC or IF with formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections or cryosections
Excellent planning, record-keeping and organization skills
Willingness to learning new techniques
Dependability and a team-focused, collaborative mindset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
