Position : Instructional Assistant, Assistive Technology
Job Description : An Instructional Assistant, Assistive Technology provides technical assistance, training, and support to students with disabilities in the use of alternate media and assistive computer technology to meet accessibility needs of a college; and assists in the coordination and implementation of access to alternate media and distance education for students with disabilities.
SALARY INFORMATION
MONTHLY SALARY: $4,614.66-$5,716.74 ($55,375.92-$68,600.88 annually)
*Salary Information is based on a full-time, 12-month position.
VACANCY INFORMATION
A vacancy exists at Los Angeles Valley College, 5800 Fulton Ave, Valley Glen, CA 91401.
BENEFITS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCEPTANCE OF AN APPLICATION:
Education and Experience:
A. An associate degree or its equivalent from a recognized college or university with a major in computer information technology or a closely related field which included or was supplemented by at least one college-level course related to assistive technology.
OR
B. Graduation from high school or its equivalent AND successful completion of a recognized assistive-technology certification training program or its equivalent AND one year of recent, full-time, paid experience in the field of assistive technology, which required the use of assistive technology software and equipment.
OR
C. Graduation from high school or its equivalent AND two years of recent, full-time, paid experience in the field of assistive technology, which required the use of assistive technology software and equipment.
OR
D. Any equivalent combination of A., B. or C. above.
