Job Description : A unique opportunity is available for a Med Lab Tech at a 60 bed, acute care facility located right outside of the vibrant community of Portland, Oregon. This facility has 24/7 Emergency Services with strong Imaging and Laboratory Services. This facility is strongly accredited by the community as they are known for their excellent and consistent high patient care.
Reporting directly to the Director of Laboratory, the Med Lab Tech will have the guidance of the Laboratory Supervisor as well as a few other Laboratory Technicians. Previous laboratory testing as well as a scholastic background in Biology or Clinical Sciences is highly recommended for immediate consideration. The Lab Tech will have entry level responsibilities in the Laboratory while also shadowing more senior Lab Techs for education purposes.
Responsibilities of the Med Lab Tech may include:
Performing laboratory testing and analysis
Medical Research
Collecting, testing, and evaluating specimens
Utilizing and maintaining modern lab equipment
Accurate medical reports of each patient
