Position : Medical Receptionist
Job Description : Our organization is currently accepting Medical Receptionist applications.
Our Medical Receptionists provide exceptional service to our patient. Medical Receptionists ensure that patient needs and visit expectations are met at check-in and check-out.
Key Responsibilities:
· Greets all patients and visitors to ensure a friendly, welcoming and professional clinic atmosphere
· Checks in and registers patients in a timely manner, confirming/entering demographics and verifying patient insurance information
· Explains financial requirements, collects co-pays and outstanding balances
· Schedules patient appointments, canceling and or rescheduling if necessary due to physicians schedules
· Coordinates with clinic staff to ensure a positive patient flow and waiting room experience
· Responds timely to patient inquiries and completes assigned tasks accurately and expeditiously
· Answers telephones, forwards telephone messages, manages faxes, copying, and scanning as needed
· Provides backup support to the other office departments as necessary
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Prior Cerner experience a plus
· At least one year front office experience in a medical clinic; primary care experience a plus
