Position : Production Operator
Job Description : Performs a variety of activities that require understanding of manufacturing processes and is accountable for the production lines’ day-to-day operations.
Functions That Are Required
Responsible for entire manufacturing line maintenance, which includes starting and stopping all equipment (palletizers, carton makers, carton sealers, drop packers, injection, etc.).
Capable of making minor adjustments to production equipment as required. Without prior approval, no mechanical work is to be conducted.
Responsible for accurately filling out and maintaining information forms and records, such as the Machine Report, the Quality Report, the Downtime Report, and the Carton Top Load Report.
Capacity to recognize potentially hazardous situations and activities and to adhere to plant safety guidelines, including safe lifting procedures and machine operation.
Where necessary, personal protective equipment should be worn.
General housekeeping: keep all areas of production clean, including break rooms and rest rooms. When necessary, bale plastic, cardboard, and contaminated bottles; grind bottles when necessary.
Maintain an adequate supply of bottle caps, labels, cartons, trays, tray and pallet wraps (plastic rolls), pallet adhesive for hot melt tanks, and slip sheets, among other items, to ensure the equipment and operation function smoothly.
Maintain quality standards consistent with corporate policies by appropriately filling up hourly inspection sheets based on overall production quality.
Responsible for instantly identifying and reporting any quality problems.
Ability to work independently in many areas of production; undertake relief activities as needed.
Ability to solve minor production equipment issues in all areas and interact with the maintenance staff as necessary.
Computer systems knowledge, such as Oracle/MES or the current order management system
Understanding of line flow and production processes in order to maximize output
Capacity to convey concerns succinctly and clearly
Attendance that is consistent and predictable is a critical feature of the job.
Capable of working 12-hour shifts, day or night, on a 2-2-3 rotating pattern.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
o 2 Years – Field or comparable manufacturing experience
o Two Years – Position Experience
o 0 Year – Management experience with people/projects
o Hands-on experience with a variety of production machines
experience may include a combination of job and educational experiences.
Qualifications Preferable:
o 4 Years – Field or comparable industrial experience
o 4 Years – Work Experience in Position
o 2 Years – Management experience with people/projects
experience may include a combination of job and educational experiences.
