Job Description : Responsibilities
The UCLA Gambling Studies Program is seeking to hire a full-time Project Coordinator to join their California Gambling Education and Treatment Services Program (CalGETS). Primary duties include:
Coordinate the administration and operation of a state-wide multi-modal mental health care initiative delivering a broad spectrum of evidence-based treatments to California residents
Responsible for implementation and ongoing administration of some 300 Provider Services Contracts as well as principle liaison with assigned subcontractors and the State of California for the development and management of CalGETS
Serve as a resource for providers, the public, campus departments and state, county and local agencies on inquiries such as available services, eligibility requirements, application processes and procedures
Work with external public and private agencies in developing specialized projects for the UGSP
Conduct ongoing quality assurance checks for data gathered from training program participants (some travel required within California post-Covid 19)
Coordinate outreach efforts for the program
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, English, communications, health sciences or related field (preferred) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing. Possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to apply active listening skills, assess and defuse emotionally charged situations in a calm, tactful and professional manner. Strong budgeting and account management skills Strong working knowledge and proficiency working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, email and Internet browsers and relevant software programs. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; skilled in keeping accurate and timely records Experience managing and working with minimal direction, ability to adapt to changing priorities, to make independent judgments and/or decisions and to discern when action of a higher level
