Position : Regional Director of FAN Chapters
Job Description : The Families Against Narcotics Regional Director of FAN Chapters will provide technical assistance to Families Against Narcotics Chapters across the State of Michigan. This job requires travel across the State of Michigan. This includes providing support in building capacity, reducing the stigma of substance use disorder, strategies for implementation of programs, education around substance use disorder, harm reduction, and community change. FAN has 21 chapters across Michigan and several different chapters continuing to expand each day. Duties will include:Work in cooperation with FAN + additional programs executive team to provide continuity in programming throughout the state.Meet with the executive team for a monthly meeting in person or through video conferencingWork throughout the State of Michigan to promote and implement FAN/HNH and be willing to assist when necessary in other areasBe familiar with all FAN by-laws and protocols and ensure that each chapter is following dues, and reportingDevelop, update and provide protocols, direction and guidance in implementing current and future FAN/HNH program changesAssist and make sure each region is tracking appropriate measures for program evaluation and reporting required by Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).Present at events and town hall meetings throughout the State of Michigan and assist in other areas when necessary.Contact and engage community leaders throughout the State of Michigan.Oversee and be involved in educational programming throughout your region and assist when necessary in other regionsAttend FAN forums and board meetings in your region at least quarterly (minimum standard)Work with existing coalitions and community leaders to create partnerships with FAN/Hope Not HandcuffsWork with current and future FAN Chapters to implement the current programs such as HNH, QRT, HARMLESS, Stronger Together, Navigate Services, ect.Assist with organizing speaking events and assemblies with the FAN/HNH programSupport and effectively communicate with team members and angel coordinatorsAssist with setting up Narcan training throughout the State of Michigan.Work with the Executive team to ensure continuity in the regional marketing programImplement administrative systems, procedures, and policies with the Hope Not Handcuffs ProgramOversee specific tasks or duties team members are expected to complete as a function of their rolesRemain knowledgeable about all FAN programs and national trendsRepresent FAN/HNH in a professional manner while performing dutiesProvide detailed time and expense sheets (including receipts) monthlyAssist in presentations with potential new FAN/HNH programsQualifications:Ability to effectively present in front of large eventsOrganized and efficient in effectively managing multiple projectsProficient in computers and the ability to problem-solveKnowledge of Microsoft Office including ExcelAbility to manage heavy influx of emails between various projectsKnowledge of Google products such as Drive, Gmail, and CalendarValid Michigan’s Driver’s license and proof of insuranceSuccessful completion of a background checkSuccessful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.Education:Associate’s or bachelor’s degreeExperience within the community is preferredExperience:3+ years of experience in a technical support roleWork Location: Tuesday/Thursday in FAN Office (Travel 75% of job)Families Against Narcotics is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace and does not discriminate against employees or job applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, disability status, or any other protected class covered by state, federal and/or local law.Ability to lift to 25 lbs., and sit, stand, bend, climb, lift, carry and/or reach frequently and for extended periods of time.Knowledge of opiate abuse preventionArticulate and approachableJob Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shift12 hour shift8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilityEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver’s License (Required)Willingness to travel:75% (Required)Work Location: Multiple Locations
