Position : Regional Manager, Social Services – Adult Services

Job Description : The Department of Public Social Services (DPSS), Adult Services Division is seeking two dynamic leaders for the position of Regional Manager, Social Services. The Regional Manager will report to a Deputy Director of Public Social Services, directly oversee six individuals, and will have full responsibility and accountability for managing services within the Specialized Services Unit. This position is located in Riverside and may be used to fill future Regional Manager positions within DPSS throughout Riverside County.

This position currently offers telecommuting options, telecommuting options are subject to business needs and are not guaranteed.

The ideal candidate will be an effective leader, mentor and strong communicator with a relentless drive and vision for organizational change management. The candidate will have a history of progressive experience towards management and taking teams to the next level. The candidate will also have extensive experience within Adult Services and knowledge of Specialized Services programs, as well as industry best practices to achieve process improvements. Lastly, the department desires candidates with experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), Adobe Sign, case management software, and electronic tasking.

This class has been deemed eligible for the Performance Recognition Plan as set forth under Article 3, Section 311(C) of the County Management Resolution. Program eligibility requires employees to be in a leadership position, manage other employees or programs, and have significant influence on the achievement of organizational objectives.
