Job Description : Responsibilities
The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a full-time Staff Research Associate to join the UCLA Youth Stress and Mood Program. Primary duties include:
Recruiting, screening, and consenting participants for research studies
Overseeing data collection and organization
Communicate with families about study procedures
Assist with programming baseline survey assessments
Monitor and track survey completion
Plan and schedule program meetings, assessments, treatment/interventions sessions
Assist with data management and analysis using SPSS and other programs
Assist with IRB applications and renewals
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in psychology or related field (preferred) Familiarity with child and adolescent psychiatric disorders/mental health/functioning concerns. Ability to coordinate data collection and data entry for research studies/program activities across sites. Ability to interact appropriately and congenially with all staff, faculty, students, patients and the public at all times. Ability to schedule appointments and meetings accurately Skill at prioritizing and tracking assignments and ability to work concurrently on several projects. Ability to function effectively with several interruptions. High level ability in the use of a PC using all Windows applications. Ability to enter and track data and manage research data base. Ability in the use of SPSS, excel, PowerPoint, word, and other standard programs. Skill in editing reports, correspondence, manuals, etc., for grammar and punctuation. Ability to maintain confidentiality in the strictest sense. Reliable Source of transportation to be able to drive independently between program sites.
