Job Description : Are you interested in a career in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)? ReadySet is looking for a passionate summer Fellow who is eager to learn about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work via hands-on experience. As a ReadySet Fellow, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our team to help us conduct research and culture assessments, support and interact with ReadySet clients, and become familiar with the training and facilitation process. The 10-week fellowship will be virtual and employees must be legal residents of one of the US States listed below. We are open to candidates at the undergraduate or graduate level. Compensation will be $30/hour for up to 40 hours a week and will not be healthcare benefits eligible. In addition to other perks noted below, Fellows will have a WIFI/cell phone stipend for the duration of their fellowship.

PREREQUISITES

Must be based in the USA and a legal resident of one of the following states:
CA, NY, OR, DC, TN, MO, TX, GA, NC, CO, WA, MD, LA, PA Please note: ReadySet is currently registered for employees in the above states. This is likely to expand in the next year for future fellowship cycles.
Must be comfortable with collaborative, remote work. Access to consistent internet connection and a computer will be needed as part of virtual work. If that’s a barrier for entry for you, we encourage you to discuss options with our fellowship team.
Must be available for our core hours of 10am-2pmPT regardless of your geographic time zone.

WHAT YOU MAY DO / LEARN

Learn and participate in quantitative and qualitative data analysis as part of ReadySet client assessments
Create and drive a capstone project aligned with your interests and expertise in collaboration with a managing consultant resulting in a final deliverable
Deeply engage with a specific client to learn multiple aspects of a single engagement via training and hands-on client support
Conduct research in support of ReadySet toolkits and resource documents
Hone presentation skills through deck and resource polishing and communications development
Shadow and support client-facing interactions including workshops and focus groups
Provide ad-hoc administrative support as needed

OPTIONAL TASKS BASED ON INTEREST/EXPERTISE

Contribute to ReadySet’s social media activities and blog production
Conduct data and statistical analysis with the People Science team
Develop educational content in support of ReadySet trainings and learning materials

WE’RE LOOKING FOR A CREATIVE, DRIVEN PERSON WHO:

Has passion for DEI issues and solutions
Familiarity with professional communication across formats
Is detail oriented and organized
Is comfortable giving / receiving feedback
Is independent, empathetic, and a natural team player
Is able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume and ever-changing work environment
Has experience with G-Suite (Google docs, sheets, and slides) and Zoom
