Job Description : Position Summary/Position
Under the direction of the Health Education Manager, this position supervises health education operations including Team Member engagement, the daily maintenance of work schedules, calendar of events, procedural compliance, and quality assurance. Supervision of the Team is evaluated using a variety of performance standards including metrics, productivity measures, and quality control monitoring. Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
1. Monitors Health Education activities to ensure compliance with all IEHP, state and federal regulatory requirements.
2. Works closely with Health Education Leadership to ensure adherence to Health Education principles, processes, and workflows across all programs and/or populations.
3. Provides leadership, support and administrative supervision of the Health Education Specialists and Health Educators to ensure delivery of high quality, cost effective services to members.
4. Trains and onboards new Team Members by setting goals and measures for successful program implementation.
5. Leads to ensure team members are given every opportunity to succeed in their positions by developing Performance Goals and evaluating performance over time.
6. Keeps the Team informed of any programmatic and/or organizational changes across IEHP departments to ensure accurate information is being provided to all Members and Partners
7. Coordinates the monthly calendar of events to ensure equitable Member access to Health Education programs and/or activities.
8. Conducts weekly quality assurance activities including but not limited to Verint Monitoring, POWER BI data reporting, and Workforce Management reporting.
9. Communicates regular feedback to Team Member(s) based on quality assurance audits.
10. Models the importance of member experience and engages Health Education leadership in developing and implementing process improvement activities.
11. Collaborates with Health Education vendors, IEHP members and other departments to promote Health Education’s menu of services.
12. Partners with key stakeholders to establish and maintain workflow processes ensuring the delivery of high-quality services at specific project sites.
13. Demonstrates proficiency in all electronic medical management systems (e.g., MedHok, MediTrac, Super Search and Web Portal) to effectively manage quality assurance needs.
14. Represents the Health Education at selected IEHP meetings including external events as necessary.
15. Participates in the evaluation meetings which measures efficiency and program outcomes that identify problems, analyze specific data, and communicate results-based solutions.
16. Support operations of Heath Education that meets the needs and challenges of IEHP’s priority populations. Supervisory Responsibilities Leader: Administers Hires, Terminations, and Performance Reviews Experience Qualifications
Requires a total of five (5) years of experience as health educator or health education required. Total of five (5) years of experience of supervision/management experience with demonstrated Team leadership ability over the past 3 years. Preferred Experience Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Science, Health Promotion, or Healthcare from an accredited institution required Preferred Education Professional Certification
(M)CHES preferred Professional Licenses Drivers License Required Yes, must have a valid California Driver’s license and valid automobile insurance. Must qualify and maintain driving record to drive company vehicles based on IEHP insurance standards of no more than three (3) points. Knowledge Requirement
Knowledge of key leadership principles and team engagement values. Understanding of behavioral medicine and evidence-based health programs that aim to positively impact quality of life indicators and related performance measures. Ability to comprehend community level engagement to ensure program participation. Familiarity of delivering health promotion programs in the community. Skills Requirement
Communication. Leadership/ Personnel Management. Engagement. Time and Attendance Tracking. Customer Management Software. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organization skills and must be computer literate. Proficient in the use of Microcomputer applications (e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel, Power Point) for use in all aspects of an office environment and ability to learn new computer systems. Starting Salary: $90,992.10 – $116,016.58
