The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) is putting into action one of the boldest Environmental Justice budget initiatives in California history. $500 million has been allocated for the Cleanup in Vulnerable Communities Initiative (CVCI), a multi-year investment in communities that suffer from multiple sources of contamination.

What You’ll Do
Direct and guide a team whose primary focus is community outreach and engagement, workforce development, public involvement and collaboration, with California’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged communities
Actively engage and work collaboratively with, and in, California’s diverse communities
Provide expert consultive services, hire, train, and develop a diverse and dynamic team of public outreach and engagement
Participate in organizational strategic planning efforts for the Department and the Office of Environmental Equity

Pay: $6,403.00 – $7,954.00 per month
