Job Description : Job Title: Director of Clinical OperationsReports to: CEODepartment: OperationsHours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pmPay: $120,000-$150,000 DOE Primary Purpose: The Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for the clinical management of First Call Home Health, overseeing the clinical direction, supervision, and management of patient care services provided by First Call.First Call Home Health Vision: To be God’s hands and feet. Sharing His love by serving our community.First Call Home Health Mission: To take care of the First Call family in a way that helps our people be the best they can be, both personally and professionally.Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 1.Defining roles and lines of responsibility and authority in the creation of performance-based job descriptions.2.Promoting a positive culture of accountability and competency in meeting established agency goals of providing quality patient care through appropriate utilization of staff.3.Establishing a collaborative process with the executive team in the review of the agency’s goals.4.Proactively evaluating clinical and office procedures and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.5.Oversees and has responsibility for the clinical operation of the Certified Home Health Agency.6.Collaborates with the QAPI Director in the integration of the provision of clinical services to patients with performance improvement activities and education of staff.7. Creates an environment of accountability as evidenced by performance of all team members whose work:a. Meet standards of productivityb. Demonstrates OASIS competencyc. Demonstrates clinical competencyd. Elicits positive patient satisfactione. Demonstrates effective care planning and utilization management8. Evaluates staffing needs based ona. Statistical Management reportsb. Collaboration with the Director of Recruitmentc. Assists with interview and hiring9. Provides direction, guidance and support to Clinical Managers, Medical Records, Intake, Scheduling and IT, including but not limited to:a. Attending each team meeting at least monthlyb. Conducting monthly clinical management meetingsc. Conducting individual performance evaluations for each direct report positiond. Holding each accountable for defined performance standards10. Communicates with the CEO on issues of concern related to the operation of First Call11. Attends regularly scheduled management meetings to review agency outcomes: patient care and fiscal issues12. Participates in web seminars presented by regulatory bodies, membership organizations, or related organizations through which regulatory or industry trends are communicated.13. Collaborates with agency consultants (Penny, Cindy) on a regular basis to get their input on industry trends, threats, opportunities and First Call operation (KPI’s).14. Supports the Agency’s mission and vision15. Provides the opportunity for input from staff in the development and revision of policies and procedures.16. Participates in the First Call Home Health annual agency evaluation17. Works with QAPI Director, Intake staff, Clinical Managers, Care Manager/Nurses/other staff members in patient care planning and conflict resolution18. Assists Clinical Management in the interpretation of:a. Agency policies and proceduresb. Nursing Standards of Practicec. CMS regulationsd. Reimbursement issues19. Participates in budgetary planning and implementation.20. Works closely with the Director of Business Development in meeting growth goals, community educationOther Duties & Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned in response to patient, office, or facility needsMinimum Qualifications & Experience: 1. A Bachelor’s Degree in health care administration or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of administration experience in the health care field is required.2. Prior Home Health management experience preferred, OR must have comparable prior supervisory experience in a healthcare setting3.
