Job Description : POSITION TITLE: Entrance Screener
POSIITON SUMMARY:
Acts as the first point of contact for patients and visitors by providing symptom screening upon entrance to any Sky Lakes Medical Center location; Team members in this role will be knowledgeable in our Visitor policy guidelines; Responsible for the smooth flow of patients and visitors through designated entrances of SLMC locations. This position will greet, ask structured health questions of all patients and visitors entering the facility.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for following protocol for screening patients and visitors as they enter the medical facility.
Adheres to all patient, visitor and team member health screening policies, procedures and guidelines.
Demonstrates service excellence towards visitors and staff.
Ability to work with a variety of customers in a friendly, courteous manner and actively listen to successfully determine the customer’s needs.
Ability to take initiative and self-manage daily task.
Ability to problem solve, mange conflict, address customer concerns and complaints.
Cooperates in a positive and professional manner in assisting department personnel as required.
Maintains orderly storage of supplies and keep work area neat, clean and organized. Oversees daily upkeep and cleanliness of screening areas. Handles equipment in a responsible, professional manner.
Maintains a professional appearance by adhering to Dress Code policy of Sky Lakes Medical Center.
Maintains competency in all position responsibilities
Sets a positive and professional atmosphere for patients, visitors and staff. Maintains a positive and loyal attitude towards employer. Actively practices good safety habits to prevent on-the-job injury.
Appropriately acknowledge or greet each person entering the building at assigned entrance.
Displays courteous, helpful behavior to patients, visitors, medical personnel and team members.
Position will be based at designated entrances to SLMC locations.
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Ability to work independently without constant supervision; Ability to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, nursing, staff and others they may come into contact with, in a pleasant and constructive manner; Ability to take direction from supervisor or director regarding work activities Successful completion of on-the-job training program or applicable experience and demonstrated competence. Ability to push, pull and lift approximately 50 lbs.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
Capable of walking or standing up to 8 hours a day. Be able to handle stressful situations and help diffuse them.
PAY RATE: $14.00 – $20.72
