Job Description:
The Oregon State Police in Salem, OR is hiring for one (1) Full-Time, Limited Duration Executive Assistant position – expecting to end on or before 06/30/2023. The Limited Duration appointment may be extended beyond this date or may end prior to this date, based upon funding.

What will you do?
You will provide confidential executive level administrative, office and project management support to the OSP Executive Leadership Staff.

Minimum Qualifications (these must be addressed in your resume for full consideration) :
Four years of staff-level experience providing administrative support to management. The experience must include technical or analytical duties in the management of program goals and objectives; performing program or project planning; preparing, monitoring, or controlling budgets; or performing research and providing analytical information and/or recommendations used in management decision making.

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration or a closely-related field may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience.

Preference may be given to individuals with experience in a specialty area specific to the position opening.

The employee’s work is conducted on site during the training period. The successful candidate may be eligible to telework after this initial training period.

Successful candidates for this position must submit vaccination documentation or be approved for an exception prior to their first day of employment. Ability to make independent decisions using problem-solving, leadership, reasoning. emotional intelligence and time management skills.
Ability to effectively articulate and exchange information using verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders, while building positive relationships and providing excellent customer service.
Demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio to include working with databases, auditing reports, and performing other unique requests.
Attention to detail needed to analyze situations, identify problems, and review related information to evaluate, develop, and implement solutions.
Demonstrate experience interpreting policies, procedures, and/or statutes in a law enforcement environment.
Ability to work independently with little or no supervisor direction.
Special Qualifications:
Must possess a valid driver’s license.

The salary listed is the non-PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%. Please review the Classification and Compensation page for more details.
