As an e-commerce merchandiser, you will serve an important role helping to provide a world-class shopping experience while learning all about current e-commerce software and best practices. This is a full-time position that reports directly to our E-commerce Merchandising Manager. This role is also responsible for capturing and editing product photographs when required.**General Description of PositionThe E-commerce Merchandiser (EM) is responsible for merchandising products on the Next Adventure website. The EM gathers all copy, images, and specs for web products and configures Magento to display them to maximize sales and create an excellent online shopping experience. This position is also responsible for taking and editing product photos when necessary.**Job Responsibilities – General MerchandisingGathering product descriptions and specs from manufacturer’s websitesGathering accurate product images and making sure they are web optimizedVerifying inventory information and product accuracyCompletely merchandising products on Magento from start to finishIdentifying inventory data issues and resolving themSpecial projects when time allows as assigned by the Web Manager**Job Responsibilities – PhotographyPrepping and styling products to be photographedSetting up appropriate lighting for products being photographedCapturing photographs of all necessary product viewsEditing photos for use on web and in other product marketing materialsCommunicates effectively with Marketing and other internal teams**QualificationsBasic understanding of web technologies, SEO, and how search engines workExperience with Microsoft Windows, Excel, and WordFamiliarity with outdoor gearEcommerce and or CMS software experience preferred but not necessaryPC environments don’t scare youAbove all else, a willingness to learn the ins and outs of e-commerce1 year studio product photography experienceExperience styling product is preferred but not requiredExperience with setting up studio lighting equipmentExperience with photo editing in Photoshop and Lightroom*Job Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilityApplication Question(s):What do you like to do outdoors?Work Location: One location
