Position : IT Technician – Monday- Friday day shift
Job Description : Mennonite Village is a well-respected not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) with a 70+ year history. We are currently seeking an IT Technician to aid our Information Technology (IT) department and help maintain the organization s computing environment. Please note under current temporary Oregon state mandate, all healthcare staff or those working in a healthcare setting must be fully vaccinated or have a qualifying medical need for an accommodation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide professional and timely customer service.
Install and maintain hardware, software, and peripherals.
Set up new end-users and provide onboarding assistance where required.
Set up of audio/visual/computer equipment for conferences and web-based training.
Troubleshoot basic problems encountered by users.
Assist guest presenters with general computer questions and set up.
Answer general computer questions from staff.
Regular attendance and punctuality is an essential function of the job.
Abides by the HIPAA policies and reports to a supervisor, breaches (or violations) of our HIPAA policies.
Immediately reports identified hazards or hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
Immediately reports adverse events and near misses to a supervisor.
Attends mandatory training on HIPPA and compliance annually.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Supportive of Mennonite Village philosophy.
One year of college level computer related courses or two years work experience, preferred.
Ability to perform duties in a timely and accurate manner.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to transport equipment/supplies weighing up to 100 lbs.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
Experience installing computer/printer equipment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and records at all times.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with the elderly.
Ability to bend, straighten and walk reasonable distances.
Experienced with basic office equipment, photocopier, postage meter, computer, fax machines, etc.
