We offer:Training and career development, with onboarding programs for new employees and tuition assistanceFinancial security through competitive compensation, incentives and retirement plansHealth care and well-being programs including medical, dental, vision, wellness and occupational health programs, Medical Benefits Start Day 13 weeks of vacation (1st yr prorated) + Vacation buy program + 3 personal days + 10 paid holidaysCompany paid Pension Plan + 401(k) retirement savings with a generous company matchThe stability of a company with a record of strong financial performance and history of being actively involved in local communitiesLearn more about our benefits that add real value to your life to help you live fully: www.abbottbenefits.comWHAT YOU’LL DOAnalyze the organizational training gaps through needs assessments to support the design, development and delivery of learning and development programs.Establish an overall employee developmental training strategy based on the organizations needsDesign and develop employee training programs that successfully align with the organization’s strategic goals and objectivesEstablish, refine and monitor key performance indicators to measure the impact and effectivity of learning experiencesResponsible for the following employee development efforts:Provide oversight for new hire orientation and new employee onboarding experienceProvide guidance and support for employee development planning processEstablish training cycle to ensure leaders and employees are proficient with standardized processes (performance assessment, self-assessments, development planning, goals setting, talent management)Manage developmental experiences such as Job Shadowing, Mentoring and Learning Gig programsDirect oversight for intern and professional development (PDP) programsPartner and collaborate with site leaders on the learning needs of the organization and establish training action plans to close gapsUtilize a variety of the training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training programsServe as a consultant/change management resource for organizational initiatives as requestedEstablish external partnerships with local high schools, technical schools, colleges and universitiesPromote employee development programs, tools and resources through a variety of mediums (SharePoint site, monitors, email, bulletin boards).Assist/back-up the site Human Resources Manager.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRINGRequiredBachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or Psychology preferred or equivalent experience.Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools.Strong communication (written and verbal), presentation and public speaking skills.Organizational and time management abilities.Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and deliver training programsHigh energy, enthusiastic, motivational training styleStrong organizational, planning, project management, problem resolution, communication, facilitation, and influencing skillsSelf-starter with strong sense of ownership and ability to work autonomouslyAbility to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a teamExcellent creative and conceptual thinking abilitiesHighly computer literate with in-depth knowledge of MS office and web-based systemsPreferredKnowledge and experience with Human Resources practicesProven experience as a trainer with a focus on employee developmentFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that provides the growth and strength to build your future.
