Job Description : Overview:

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

In this role, you will work with multiple members of the IT department. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for store IT assets to ensure appropriate quantities are kept for new and replacement equipment. The Procurement Specialist ensures all PO’s match orders placed and invoiced as well as maintain IT spending to budget. The Procurement Specialist is well-versed in all stages of procurement, from need identification through product receipt (including ordering, invoicing and payment, contract management, etc.). This individual acts as a liaison between suppliers and the internal IT and Business groups and is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships across the board. The Procurement Specialist will work with the Senior Director, Support Manager and CIO to undertake calculated and bold contract negotiations, relentlessly ensuring that the suppliers meet or exceed the contracted services, regularly assessing performance against Service Level Agreements (SLA’s), and coordinating supplier activity to meet current and future needs.
Handles all aspects of daily order management to include procurement processes like requisitioning, receiving, and invoicing.
Stay up to date on industry trends and new products.
Compare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing.
Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors.
Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered.
Verifies bills from suppliers with bids and purchase orders, and approves bills for payment.
Work closely with the projects team to understand details of procurement requirements.
Supervise the Store budget estimation and sourcing operations.
Creates and updates documentation where appropriate for procurement as well as assists other IT peers.
Position may be called upon to direct specific project activities or to work as a team member.
Assist with creating yearly budgets.
The PAWsome Procurement Specialist will have:
Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
2+ years’ experience in procurement or purchasing of products and materials.
Ability to maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Capable of managing multiple tasks and objectives.
Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail/accuracy.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse environment while managing multiple tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail and follow-up.
Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate in a team environment.
