We’d love to chat.Position Overview: Are you a dynamic individual with superb technical and communication skills that loves to work on multimedia-related software development projects? TechSmith is looking for a Software Test Specialist who can accelerate and improve the quality of TechSmith products. This is an extremely important role on our development teams. In order to maintain our commitment to software quality, we need someone who can champion quality in all facets of TechSmith products. In this role, you will perform various types of software testing throughout the development cycle.Responsibilities: Evaluate, test, and troubleshoot TechSmith software products using various testing methods and tools in an Agile development contextMonitor and improve product quality through effective testing strategy, design, and executionBalance time constraints and high product quality standards to assume ownership of features and test assignmentsCollaborate closely with other Software Testers, Designers, and Engineers on Agile development teams and champion quality as a team-owned practiceTrack, analyze, manage, and advocate for software defect resolutionActively contributes to the evolution of software testing at TechSmithOther duties as assignedMinimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in technology, or a closely related field, with at least 6 months experience testing software in internships, school or personal projects, or other related software testing or development experience. For individuals without a Bachelor’s Degree in technology, or a closely related field, 3 years experience with software testing, software quality assurance, or programmingDemonstrated knowledge of software development and technical competency in operating systemsAnalytical/critical thinking skillProficient oral and written communication skillsWorks well on a teamSelf-motivated and passionate about quality and software developmentYou must be legally authorized to work in the United States without an employer-sponsored petition for a visa, such as an H-1B visa.
