Job Description : Accounting Clerk / Office SpecialistGaribaldi, ORNorthwest Hardwoods, Inc.Full-Time RoleNorthwest Hardwoods Overview: Northwest Hardwoods is the leading manufacturer of hardwood lumber in North America, as well as a leading supplier of panel products from around the world.  A fully integrated, global supplier of wood products, NWH serves the furniture, flooring, cabinet, molding, and millwork industries.Position Summary: We are in search of an energetic Accounting Clark/ Office Specialist to join our finance organization. This dynamic position provides financial and administrative support to the manufacturing operations team as well as serving as an human resources administrator supporting the hourly employees at this site.Key Responsibilities and Duties: General computer skills including compiling a diverse set of daily reports and preparing data reconciliations using Excel and other business softwareOnboarding of new employees and assisting them with their setup in our HR systemCoordinating with employee staffing agencies and organizing hourly employee interviewsAssist employees with various systems and answer basic employment and benefit questionsReview and approve Bi-Weekly payroll reports that summarize timesheet activitySetup and maintain log purchase contracts in the log accounting systemReconcile log load tickets with data importsRecord log inventory transactions (e.g., consumption, transfers, sales, adjustments)Process vendor invoices for payment by centralized Accounts PayablePrepare outgoing packages for delivery and process delivered mailDocument storage management & office organizationData entry and report distributionAnswer phones, direct calls, take messages, greet visitorsProvide administrative and financial support to the site managerBasic Qualifications: Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employerEducation: High School Diploma or EquivalentHighly proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and OutlookExcellent verbal, written and listening skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environmentSuperior organization skills with strong attention to detailAbility to shift priorities and manage time effectively, completing a variety of work with changing deadlines accurately and on timeAbility to handle highly confidential information and perform non-routine duties with discretion and independent judgmentExcellent attendance record and ability to be a self-starterPreferred Qualifications: Experience dealing with HR information systemsExperience working in a manufacturing environmentExperience in log accounting systemsEducation: Some college or an associate degreeAdditional Information: Northwest Hardwoods provides competitive wages, comprehensive benefits package with medical, dental, and vision health care coverage, paid vacation/holidays, and company matching 401(k) retirement plan.Candidates who meet these qualifications will be considered further.Northwest Hardwoods, Inc is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
