Ensures each department’s Capital Expenditure projects are complete within budget.ResponsibilitiesCreating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets and adhering to deadlines for Capital Expenditure projects.Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.Serving as a point of contact for Hotel and F&B teams when multiple departments are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.Communicating with executives and purchasing department to keep the project aligned with their goals.Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change.Review, evaluate and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids.Participate in Capital budget purchases – finding competitive pricing, product quality and vendors.Prepare bid awards requiring executive approval for new products and Capital purchasing.Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.Create, maintain, and manage systems for projects and tasks.QualificationsEducation/Formal Training4-year Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management preferred, or related experience in project management fieldExperiencePrevious project management experienced preferred.2-4 year degree from an accredited university in Project Management, Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major 3 years’ experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area.Knowledge/SkillsThe ability to gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process; recognize pattern and relationships in complex data; examine data to identify implications, problems and draw appropriate conclusions, generate alternative solutions to problems; evaluate strengths, weaknesses and consequences of alternative solutions and approaches to solving problems. Use mathematics to solve problems.Computer skills using hardware and software, Microsoft Word applications: Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint.Strong editing skills.Excellent hearing required for telephone inquiries and client and associate handling.Excellent vision required as contracts and letters are handwritten, filing, using computer, checking diary.Excellent speech communication skills necessary to communicate clearly with customers and other departments.Excellent comprehension and literacy required to read and correspondExcellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skillsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
