Job Description : Creekside Veterinary Clinic in Keizer, Oregon is seeking a motivated, compassionate, cheerful, honest, and intelligent Veterinary Assistant. Our entire team of friendly people is dedicated to providing excellent patient care and client service. We are a busy practice and we work hard.Join our team of amazing people. We care about and listen to each other, and we value each other’s individuality.Creekside Veterinary Clinic is a small animal general practice. We see dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, rodents, birds, reptiles, and most other small exotic pets you can think of!Our clinic is open Monday-Saturday. Employees are set up on a predictable schedule, although some flexibility is required. Weekend shifts are typically on a rotation and are required.Duties include the following and more:· Assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care· Comforting and restraining patients· Administering medications· Filling prescriptions· Collecting lab specimens· Taking x-ray images· Monitoring anesthesia· Cleaning and sterilizing equipment and facility· Answering multi-line phones· Following established clinic protocols and procedures· Maintaining computerized medical recordsJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shiftDay shiftWork Location: One location
