Job Description : Starting 2022-2023FTE 1.0Salary: Commensurate with Salary Schedule 2022-2023 Salary Matrix. Exempt, benefits-eligible, 187 days + 8 holidays + 4 personal days.Open Until FilledJob Responsibilities: Support students with personal, mental health, and psychological issues that affect their school performance, socialization, and attendance.In collaboration with special education teacher and related staff, provide both direct and consultative services related to a student’s social/emotional, mental health, and life adjustment.Assume leadership and cooperative roles in identifying and working with students with social, mental health, and psychological problems and conditions that may interfere with learning, socialization, and school attendance.Work with student(s) and families to support bridging home and school life.Participates in design, implementation, and evaluation of interventions with students experiencing academic and behavioral difficulty.Develops and helps implement individual, group or system level interventions to improve or resolve academic, social/emotional/behavioral, and mental health needs as they relate to educational progress.Provides support, instructions, technical assistance and ongoing monitoring of progress toward measurable, identified goals for students at each level.Assists in development and implementation of classroom-wide programs to support student behavioral and academic success.Supports development and implementation of data collection and analysis systems to support data based decision-making.Facilitate professional learning in the areas of social, emotional and behavioral programming.Serve as the school liaison to community agencies by consulting and collaborating regularly with school personnel, social agencies, and other community resources to establish and provide coordinated services and supports to students and families.Participate as a member of the Individual Education Planning Meetings and provides input.Attends building, district, or other meetings as required or directed.Performs other duties as assigned by administration.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Understands Special Education process and procedures.Skill in the use of technology to enhance instruction and communication.Ability to work as a contributing member of effective teaching teams.Ability to maintain effective professional relationships with staff, students, and parents.Ability to follow directions.Skill, dedication and aptitude for working with students.Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with people with a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.Ability to maintain student confidentiality.Ability to maintain regular and acceptable attendance levels.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in School Counseling, School Psychology or Social Work or related field; AND,Licensed in the State of MontanaPreferred Qualifications: Completion of graduate level coursework/program in School Counseling, School Psychology or Social Work.Prior successful experience in a school environment.Trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)Physical Demands: Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, lift and carry items up to 40 pounds.Primary Location LINDERMAN EDUCATION CENTR Salary Range Per Year Shift Type Full-TimeJob Type: Full-time
