Job Description : We are looking for a reliable Medical Assistant to join our Cardiology team in Missoula, Montana! If you have a passion for Cardio and are detail oriented, let’s talk! This position will have 40-hour weeks following a Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm schedule!ResponsibilitiesAbility to perform all front and back-office skills as appropriate to role and certification. (ex: vital signs, set up/assist with minor procedures, EKG, blood pressure, point of care testing, patient authorizations, scheduling, etc.)Perform increasingly advanced procedures with validated competenciesProvide accurate, complete, legible, and timely documentation of all procedures performed in the patient’s medical recordFollow correct procedures for handling and disposing of biohazardous, infectious, and pharmaceutical wasteAccording to organizational standards, prepare, clean, and sterilize, and/or reprocess, instruments (autoclaving)Anticipate and proactively plan for practitioner and patient needsDemonstrate a commitment to education and sharing of knowledge. Assist in orientation of new team members and serves as a role model of best practices to othersProvide open and timely communication and information to patients, families, and practitionersSkillsWe are open to a range of experience levels!Obtain certification within 180 days of hire: National Certification (AMCA, AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or NAHP).AHA accredited current Basic Life SupportMedical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)Experience providing excellent customer care in a fast-paced environment is preferred but not requiredExperience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) is ideal but not requiredIf the opportunity to utilize your detail-oriented personality in a Cardiology healthcare setting is intriguing, we look forward to seeing your application!#IND-CORE36936Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 – $28.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Employee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insuranceMedical Specialty:CardiologySchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:Staff and patient safety is our top priority.
