Job Description : The Production Associate position is a crucial role in executing daily operations at our kitchen facility and admin office. If you’ve been looking for a “foot in the door” role at an established-but-growing-rapidly outdoor industry startup, this is the position for you. You’ll be one of the first employees at our new Bend Oregon facility, helping to both keep the day-to-day operations running smoothly, while also being a crucial part of the overall success of the company as you take on a variety of tasks and roles, growing your own role as the company grows. You bring the enthusiasm, we’ll provide the training.Responsibilities: Food Packaging/ProductionPerforms various assembly and packaging tasks in the processing of foods.Unpacks raw materials & mixes ingredients; follows instructions and workow to process and assemble product.Operates food packaging equipment.Seals and labels accordingly.Meticulously tracks written documentation of all activities.Follows SOPs and other rigid instructions without deviation or interpretation.Cleans and washes dishes and production equipmentEnsures that all food products meet company quality standards and regulatory and health protocols.Responsibilities: Misc OperationsAssist in the loading/unloading of freight shipments as neededTransfer stock/inventory between warehouse locationsPick and pack customer ordersManage inbound customer emails, calls, and help desk as needed.Other day-to-day operations tasks as needed — During off-peak season, this role will have the opportunity (but not a requirement) to learn additional skills and train in specialized responsibilities, such as supply chain, marketing, product, customer support, and other areas of expertise. We’ll be eventually hiring more full-time, salaried roles and we’d love to promote staff from within!RequirementsAbility to stand for 8 to 10 hours per Day on concrete floorsWillingness to learn new skills and take on new challengesPunctual and detail-oriented.Must be able to lift 50 lbs safely and repeatedlyMust be able to lift 25 pounds over your headMust obtain Oregon Food Handler Certification within 2 weeks of hire (can be processed online)Benefits / What makes us differentWe are looking for candidates to start as early as the week of March 29, 2021, with flexibility.This is an onsite position located in Bend, Oregon.
