WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a Finance Analyst for our Public Policy & Social Impact (PPSI) team! The Finance Analyst is the first point of contact for PPSI responding to finance and payment inquiries and guiding team members to the right solutions, trainings, and processes. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing service to the enterprise and is able to influence cross-functional partners to ensure the best possible experience.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
The PPSI Finance team has multiple areas of focus including:
Providing outstanding finance support to the SCI and GPA teams; including budget planning and tracking; providing training and support on how to navigate Nike AP systems; and reporting and data analysis
Quarterly collection, tracking, reconciling, and reporting on corporate-wide commitment to invest 2% of annual pre-tax income in communities over the world
Management and oversight of the Nike Foundation, an independent 501(c)(3) private foundation
In addition to these focus areas, responsibilities include:
Supporting the contribution payment process for the Inclusive Community work including the Nike, Inc. Black Community Commitment and the Until We all Win portfolios
Vendor set-up and maintenance, purchase order set-ups and processing
Collection and reconciliation of global, enterprise-wide community impact data collection
Overall team finance support, coding, stakeholder support, addressing ad hoc requests and collaborating with Operations, Portfolio teams and others on a variety of projects
The team works consistently within SCI and GPA, across the CAO, and with a wide variety of people across Nike in a range of initiatives.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
If this is you, your primary business partners will be from the two groups within PPSI. Social & Community Impact (SCI) uses the power of sport to move the world forward. Government & Public Affairs (GPA) is responsible for inspiring and driving public policy globally to accelerate NIKE, Inc’s business priorities. Together, the team takes an integrated approach across government officials, external partners, and community and civic groups.
The Nike matrix is an important part of how we achieve results. As mentioned above, the Finance Analyst will work with a broad array of teammates across Nike, Inc., including in Global Controlling, Global Business Planning, Compliance, our geographies, our Operations and Procurement teams, and our subsidiaries. This role will support the AP and data collection processes of the growing SCI portfolio and supporting the evolving cross-functional partnership with GPA. This role will be integral to enabling the Finance team to continue to deliver essential support to PPSI.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING?
Bachelor Degree or Higher or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
3+ years relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to proactively manage multiple priorities, delivering with high quality and exceptional attention to detail
Strong Excel skills required
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Salesforce, Sage-Intacct, Aravo, Coupa, and SAP software platforms preferred
Demonstrated interest and experience across multiple functions
Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather all necessary information to influence business decisions.
Team and diversity-oriented with the ability to collaborate with multiple business partners across multiple time zones
Experience with contract analysis
Ability to maintain grace under pressure while managing ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
Curiosity and perceptiveness
