Position : IDENTIFICATION TECHNICIAN
Job Description : The Identification Technician is responsible for examining, comparing and/or evaluating videos in legal matters using the science of forensic video analysis. The position is responsible for providing booking photos and compiling photo lineups. The work involves processing items of physical evidence for the purposes of developing latent print friction ridge detail using various physical and chemical methods. The position is responsible for being able to effectively photograph evidence/fingerprints in a laboratory setting. The position is responsible for analyzing, identifying and comparing latent fingerprints with rolled impression prints both manually and with computer technology such as ABIS/AFIS and/or other national databases. The position also has some evidence responsibilities that include assisting the evidence technicians with daily duties when manpower shortages dictate. The position may also be needed to assist with the processing of crime scenes as directed by the Identification Supervisor.
Work Schedule: 4 – 10 hour days, days off will be either Saturday, Sunday, Monday or Friday, Saturday, Sunday. These hours may vary based on operational needs.
Salary: $18.47/hour plus excellent benefits
Minimum Skills/Qualifications: Two (2) years of formal training beyond high school, or three (3) years of related work experience
