Job Description : Do you have the kind of balance and focus it takes for a juggler to keep multiple objects in the air at a time? In a way, that’s what our field investigators do.When a workplace injury occurs, SAIF’s investigators document facts and validate events so that we can make the best possible claim decision and the injured worker can get appropriate benefits.Often, that means juggling several tasks at a time. One day, they might be in the field interviewing witnesses and gathering facts. The next, documenting activities through observations. The day after that in the office doing online research, analyzing their findings, and writing detailed reports.It requires someone who is not only skilled at interviewing, observation, and analysis, but also flexible, objective, naturally curious, well-organized (particularly with time management), and can work independently as well as part of a team. And, of course, has amazing balance.They also need solid communication skills—especially accurate and professional report-writing—and the ability to build rapport with a variety of personality types and interview people from all walks of life, such as injured workers and their employers, co-workers, witnesses, and neighbors.For details about the tasks that investigators juggle, read on.QualificationsThe following qualifications are recommended: Three years of investigative experience in insurance claims, criminal justice, or a related field which demonstrates ability to analyze facts and use investigation tools is preferred.Prior experience with workers’ compensation insurance investigations is preferred.High school diploma or equivalentOther combinations of skills and experience may be considered.Job Type: Full-timePay: $4,645.00 – $6,190.00 per monthSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: One location
