The Maintenance Director is responsible for maintaining overall cleanliness, Life Safety, and operational functioning of the community in compliance with local, OSHA, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing of all outside contracts and vendors related to community maintenance. This position is a key position who works collaboratively with the leadership team.

Experience
? Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met
? Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the elders, coworkers and others
? Must be able to relate with sensitivity to and work with ill, disabled, and elderly
? Must be able to assist in the evacuation of the elders
? Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day with sitting, standing, bending and lifting
? Must be able to speak, read and write the English language in an understandable manner
? Ability to remain calm under stressful conditions and make decisions
? Must be able to work full or part time on a regular schedule, and on-call as needed
? Must be able to communicate effectively with elders, families, team members, vendors and the general public
? Must meet all health requirements, including TB
? Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation
? Must pass criminal background check
? Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
