Position : Sanitation / Production Operator

Job Description : PNB has a Sanitation Technician and Production Support position available within the Mt. Angel plant. This position is responsible for various tasks associated with cleaning production equipment and general work area. Responsibilities will involve internal and external sanitation duties to include cleaning, maintaining blending, filling equipment to ensure product quality and equipment reliability, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and utilizing cleaning devices and agents to sanitize the general work environment. This position will also provide support to our production team, fulfilling duties as an operator to include operating manufacturing equipment that supplies raw materials to the production line, and/or fills, caps, seals, labels and packaging material. Removes damaged product or supplies, as needed. Maintains required product inspection process. Performs basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure production equipment runs efficiently. Applicant must be available for all shifts.Primary Job Accountabilities: Perform various cleaning and organizing duties as assignedUse of cleaning devices and/ or chemical agents to sanitize production equipment or environment; clean equipment and area during and after shift and maintains clean work area through good housekeeping practicesMay operate vehicles such as floor scrubber or forklift in execution of dutiesEnsures efficient line function and food-safe line equipment conditions through good sanitation techniques.Demonstrate safe use of all chemicals from receipt, storage, transfer, useSolid understanding of CIP procedures and system troubleshootingOperate and monitor line, removing or shifting materials and/or finished product as necessary to facilitate proper flow and machine operationEnsure package and product qualityOperate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safely while maintaining all safety standardsExpedite repairs to line; working with maintenance as necessaryKeep daily records of down time and machine operationsJob Eligibility Criteria: High School diploma or GEDMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be able to work in a high-speed manufacturing environment team-oriented, deadline driven, high performance demands, and fast paced.Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) including, wearing proper protective equipment, practicing personal hygiene, or obeying safety practices.Experience working with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies including chemicals such as acids, caustics, degreasers, using equipment such as foamers, scrubbers, pressure washers, steam machines, or cleaning stainless, conveyors, etc.Must be able to read and use standards of operations, understand and use process, procedures, or workflow documentation.Must be able to prepare documentation detailing work, building process flows, etc.Must be able to read and use standards of operations, understand and use process, procedures, or workflow documentation.Must work with industrial chemicals, using chemicals in a safe way, ensuring everything is properly labeled following MSDS, reading and interpreting labels or selection and mixing correct chemicals.Must be able to lift/carry 5-60 lbs. frequently for 8-12 hours a dayMust be able to stand constantly for 8-12 working hoursMust be able to perform frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, and squattingMust be able to perform occasional reaching over the shoulder, waist level, and from the floorMust be able to perform frequent graspingMust pass a pre-employment background check and drug testPNB is dedicated to the policy of equality of employment opportunity for all its employees without regard to their race, color, religion, gender, age, disability, national origin, sexual orientation or any other category protected by law.Job Type: Full-timePay: $26.72 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceReferral programRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shiftDay shiftHolidaysMonday to FridayNight shiftOvertimeSupplemental Pay:Signing bonusEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Work Location: One location
