Position : SNACK SHOP SUPERVISOR -GM Golf Shop-Summer 2022
Job Description : Come work at beautiful Black Butte Ranch at our Glaze Meadow Golf Course Snack Shop. This position supervises the golf snack shop and beverage cart operations to ensure prompt and pleasant food service is provided for homeowners and guests at the Glaze Meadow Golf course.Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities: 1. Calculate necessary food products needed.2. Calculate non-food products needed.3. Hire, train, and discipline people who will work together as a team.4. Generate weekly schedules for employees, vendors and menu requirements.5. Able to respond to unexpected situations.6. Provide customer service and food preparation as needed.7. Work with golf groups coordinator in promoting and providing food and beverage service.8. Responsible for cash collection and inventory control.*Specific Job Skills* (examples listed below)*1. Possess good office skills including use of copy machine, filing, and computer.2. Able to perform public relations, basic math computations, food preparation, general cleaning, correspondence, and problem analysis/solving,3. Managerial and professional skills are required.4. Have previous hands-on experience with all facets of golf snack shop.*Other Functions: **1. Communicate with customers and employees in a positive manner.2. Make decisions quickly.3. Work closely with golf professionals, golf office manager and golf shop staff.Education and/or Experience: Required education and certification is high school diploma or G.E.D., OLCC Server’s permit, Deschutes County Food Handler permit and CPR certificate. Must also have three years’ experience in public relations and food service operations management.*Work Environment/Job Conditions: *1. Adverse temperatures.2. Small and confined work spaces.3. Time and deadline pressures.4. Excessive work hours and variable work schedules. Must be flexible in hours worked.5. Dealing with a variety of guests with a range of expectations.6. Standing for extended periods of time.7. Lifting up to 50 pounds.*Attendance Standard*While efforts are made through the company to provide standard work schedules with employee shifts, Black Butte Ranch is unable to guarantee a specific shift for employees. Shifts should be considered primary but are subject to change as the needs of the property dictate.Adherence to scheduled arrival times is required due to property access and reliance.Position may include overtime if necessary.Flexible scheduling necessary based on business demand.May be required to work after normal business hours weekends and holidays.*Job Complexity/Supervisory Responsibility*: 1. Must know how to relate to all types of people.2. Be able to run cash register and count money correctly.3. Ability to delegate authority.4. Ability to work independently.5. Hire, train, discipline and fire golf food service employees.6. Provide work direction.7. Supervise 15-25 full and part-time seasonal employees.*Interpersonal Contacts: Face-to-face and telephone communication with homeowners, guests, vendors and other employees. This communication consists of simple information exchange that may be of a confidential or sensitive nature.Job Type: TemporaryPay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
